Using the state-of-the-art electrochemical sensing element, the wall-mounted HCHO Transmitter performs reliable and precise formaldehyde gas measurement ranging from 0 to 3ppm. Equipped with industrial standard RS485 interface via Modbus RTU protocol, the Formaldehyde Transmitter enables none-stop HCHO monitoring and sends data to PLC or HMI for indoor air quality analysis.
HCHO is a colorless and poisonous gas with an obnoxious odor. It could be emitted from many products in the building, like the furniture paint. Long-term exposure to formaldehyde might increase the chance of getting cancer even at a low level that might not cause any symptoms.
To prevent the harms that might be caused by HCHO gas, the system integrators combine the HCHO Transmitter with their building management system to monitor the level of HCHO and turn on the ventilation system when the HCHO level is higher than the standard one. In this way, the users can reduce energy consumption in operating the ventilation system, meanwhile, optimize building performance.
